It’s a bit late, but at least I made it anyway (although I don’t like it). This is the things that I have promised last year, and its current results.

Develop technical skills in M2M (Machine to machine) communication, specially in protocol parsing

I found it very difficult to develop protocol parsers with AVR. The MCU has a lot of limitation on processing speed, specially on the AT protocol parser. The PC-Java version works, although I cannot make it as commercial grade.

Honestly, I think this kind of project should be aligned with my current work/company, because it’s difficult to find a job based on things that you’ve done outside the main work. So, I’m thinking of doing M2M communication in Ethernet/TCP-IP, instead.

Working Abroad

This is God’s blessing unto me this year. Although things are getting worse, I could still find a job in Singapore. Few months ago, I heard that everyone was leaving Singapore since they couldn’t find any job. Yet, I found it, after waiting for 1 month for the employment pass from MoM.

Get a Girlfriend

I should make my own romantic comedy on this one =D The journey of collecting 12-names was not easy, but at least I could gathered 4 (out of 12)..Hahaha..

Anyway, I’m taking a note from my friend seriously. Love is not a game, or winning a toto lottery, or statistical probability =) If a probability to meet the perfect girl is 10%, dating 10 girls won’t guarantee that the 1 girl that you got is really what you’re looking for.

The reason is because love grows, not being found. Hence you cannot search for it, but you can plant it and hope it grows =)

Stronger relationship with my foster kid

I hate to talk about this one.

There are plenty of kids in Indonesia that want to go to school, without being worried of financial problem of their family, except for my foster kid. She’s like enjoying her life, whether getting under score for math/science or not, whether she has worthy talent to develop or not. She’s like doesn’t care about anything, except for getting the next grade and having fun with her friends. I think her most worries is if she is left behind by her gang. Whether her gang is doing the correct things or not, that’s not a problem.

Honestly, I don’t like the way she lives. I’ve already told her that she needed to change, studied more seriously..but what I got was just ‘yes yeah ok’, but no real progress. Maybe I’m not fair enough for her, but at least I studied seriously when I was at her age. I was not a popular guy, not hanging around malls, not following the latest fashion/hairstyle/movies/bands, and I had never being worried to be unpopular. Why should I care about other people’s opinion ? It’s my life after all.

Helping start up company

The M2M-Indonesia doesn’t need any help by now. The ikonus, I’m not sure, since I’ve lost contact for a long time and I don’t know why they never built their own website.
